(General) |
|
|
Section 1 |
This Regulation stipulates requirements related to the management of the Okazaki Joint Utilization Researchers Accommodation Facilities of the National Institutes of Natural Sciences (hereinafter called "Accommodation Facilities") installed based on the provisions of Paragraph 5, Section 50 of the General Rules (General Rule No. 1 of 2004) of the Organization Operation of National Institutes of Natural Sciences, Joint Utilization Institute of Universities. |

(Committee) |
|
|
Section 2 |
Important items related to the management of the Accommodation Facilities shall be deliberated by the committee (hereinafter called "Committee") of the Okazaki Joint Researchers Accommodation Facilities of the National Institutes of Natural Sciences. |
|
(Qualification for use) |
|
|
Section 3 |
The following persons shall be permitted to use the Accommodation Facilities: |
|
1. |
Researchers of joint utilization |
|
2. |
Visiting professors and visiting associate professors |
|
3. |
Foreign researchers |
|
4. |
Special contract staff and short-term contract staff (foreigners only) |
|
5. |
Special cooperation researchers and special visiting researchers (foreigners only) |
|
6. |
Persons judged as proper by the responsible manager in charge of the Accommodation Facilities |
|
(Usage permission) |
|
|
Section 4 |
Any person wishing to use the Accommodation Facilities must submit the specified application form to the responsible manager in charge of the Accommodation Facilities and obtain permission. |

(Usage period) |
|
|
Section 5 |
The usage period of the Accommodation Facilities shall be as follows: |
|
1. |
The usage period for those specified in Paragraph 1 of Section 3 is the period required for implementing the joint utilization research, less than one month. This limit does not apply if recognized as necessary by the responsible manager in charge of the Accommodation Facilities. |

2. |
The period for those specified in Paragraph 2 to 5 of Section 3 and those judged as proper in Paragraph 6, Section 3 is the period recognized as necessary by the responsible manager in charge of the Accommodation Facilities. |

(Rate) |
|
|
Section 6 |
Those who are permitted to use the Accommodation Facilities in accordance with Section 4 must pay the usage rate before the start of use, in principle, as separately specified. |

(Cancellation of usage permission) |
|
|
Section 7 |
The responsible manager in charge of the Accommodation Facilities can cancel the permission to use the Accommodation Facilities if the user of the Accommodation Facilities falls under any of the following: |

1. |
If the application for use specified in Section 4 contains any false entry. |
|
2. |
If the user did not pay the rate specified in the preceding Section and still does not pay it when reminded. |
|
3. |
If the user seriously hindered the maintenance or management of the Accommodation Facilities. |
|
(Duty of care when using) |
|
|
Section 8 |
The user of the Accommodation Facilities must observe the instructions on use of the Accommodation Facilities separately specified. |
|
(Compensation for damage) |
|
|
Section 9 |
If the user of the Accommodation Facilities damages or loses the building, equipment, or furnishings, whether intentionally or negligently, the user must immediately restore them to the original state or compensate for the damage. |
|
(Miscellaneous rule) |
|
|
Section 10 |
In addition to the provisions of this Regulation, any necessary items related to the use of the Accommodation Facilities shall be specified by the responsible manager in charge of the Accommodation Facilities through meetings of the Committee. |
